About Hope

Hope Pavlich – SMB Entrepreneur

Hope holds a BA in Fine Arts from Long Island University C.W. Post and a certification in Audio Engineering from the Institute of Audio Research. A black belt in Mixed Martial Arts and an avid practitioner of Vinyasa, YIN, and Ashtanga yoga, Hope values self-connection and growth.

Her career began at Sony Music Studios, where she worked with high-profile clients such as Dave Chappelle, Robin Williams, and Jennifer Lopez. She later transitioned to the video game industry, first working with Electronic Arts on NBA Live 2004, then progressing to positions at Sony PlayStation, Sucker Punch Productions, and Machine Zone. Throughout her career, Hope has held roles including Dialog Supervisor, Lead Producer, Script Supervisor, and Director of LiveOps Design. Her passion for storytelling and game design was key to her success, particularly in her role at Machine Zone, where she led a team to drive player retention and revenue.

Hope’s video game credits include titles such as God of War Ragnarök, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Infamous, Def Jam ICON, and Fight Night. In addition to her video game career, she has explored entrepreneurship, founding a cleaning business in Los Angeles, launching products on Amazon, and creating the podcast Goddess in Gaming to honor women in the industry.

Although her entrepreneurial ventures were valuable learning experiences, Hope recognized the financial stability of her corporate roles. She now seeks to acquire a small or medium-sized business by July 2024, believing business ownership offers the freedom to pursue her goals with capability, responsibility, and drive.
